"Santa arrived and brushed off his snow-covered clothes as he entered the cave of the mountain. He pulled off his hat and gloves and exclaimed, 'It's hot in here! What are all of you up to?' I was nervous, but Santa quickly calmed me down. He said, 'Thank you, Bubbles, for wanting to share all your ideas with me.' Santa had a way of making everyone feel special, and I began to get very brave. I had collected all of my drawings and spread them out for Santa to see. He looked at them and showed interest in every aspect of my ideas. I said, 'Santa, I call this stone "vita ore stone." I took it from inside the mountain and we melted it at a very high temperature.' As I showed Santa the process, he was shocked to see how the snow caused an instant frosted effect on the glass. I then explained to him how this would work perfectly for windows in all the homes. Since the glass was six to eight inches thick, it would act as a barrier between the cold outside and the warmth inside. Another great feature was that the light coming through the windows would be just enough to keep all the plants nurtured in their growing stages. Then I showed Santa my big idea, the dome.
"I fingered through some of my drawings and found the sketch of the entire area with the proposed dome. I explained, 'We have glass beams that can be made to support the ceiling. And we know through many tests that this type of ore is rock-solid. So, we can pour the hot liquid through a twin-roller assembly, and it would be plenty safe enough to make much larger sheets of glass. What's really unique is this glass is magnetic. When two sheets are put together side by side, you cannot pull them apart. This means we could use it to cover the whole village, the garden, all the way over to the side of the mountain. We could do the garden first, then keep expanding the dome until it's completely over us. This dome would definitely keep the heat inside with no problem.'
After I showed Santa all my drawings, in as professional a manner as possible, he said, 'Let's do it, Bubbles! We'll do the windows first.' I replied, 'Mission accomplished, Santa!'
We built the first homes with our vita ore stone windows, and some of the other elves gathered around to admire them. They were so excited about this new invention, and word started to spread. I watched Santa as he did a little experiment of his own. First, he stood outside one of the houses, looked through a window, and reported that he couldn't see anything. Then Santa bent down, entered the house, and knelt down in front of the window. He peered through the glass from the inside and waved to the elves outside. Everything was clear for Santa, just as if there were no glass there at all, but because of the frosted outer surface, no one could see him. Santa smiled and let out a 'Ho-ho!'
